During the first week of Semester 2 we were faced with a Social Digital Multi-year group Universal Design Challenge. Put into small teams of mixed disciplines we engaged in team building design research to aid the disabled users of DJCAD. Upon acknowledging the building to be unsuitable for the ease in navigation for the hard-of-sight/blind, we felt we should design a simple and discreet method of equipting the overpowering number of staircases which may be a hazard for said users. 

By the end of the 2 day "Sprint" my team presented an idea to add rings to ends of stair banisters to count down steps remaining as users who have difficulty seeing are more able to use tactile measures to orientate themselves.
