Creating a promotional 4 minute video was another method used to document the process of the 2 month HABLab project. Through the weeks we made efforts to video record our activity in order to compile time lapses of progression into the final video. As the video director myself I made sure to photograph and gather our process of research, building, and compiling our individual projects and I feel it has been completed successfully in a dramatic and informative manner. The choice of instrumental music, Spectrum – Florence and the Machine, I feel is engaging and matches the theme of colour. The combination of videos and still images kept the video dynamic and I chose to minimalize the amount of textual information on screen to keep the visuals the main focus and not bore the viewer. Overall I am proud of the final video as it effectively displays our project’s development from start to finish.
